SHREK THE MUSICAL helped Stagecoach Theatre Arts recognise and reward inspirational young people at the 2nd Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, on Monday 28th November 2011.
Again this year, Children's Burns Trust were proud to support nominations from burn care professionals, parents and friends. We were thrilled that the winner of the Good Buddy Award was 13 year old Jasmine Foster-Hale from Castleford, West Yorkshire. Nominated by her mum Tracy Foster.
Jasmine has dedicated time and support to dozens of children who attend Pinderfields Burns Club, which provides invaluable support to children who have suffered burn injuries. She helps her mum, play specialist at Pinderfields Hospital and burns club leader, to raise funds, organise weekend camps and has befriended dozens of children who need support. Jasmine has dedicated most of her young life to supporting these young people, many of whom have severe injuries. After receiving her Award, Jasmine and her family went on to participate in a "meet the cast session", and to see a performance of the hit West End Show.
Nigel Lindsay, who stars as Shrek and who presented the Awards said "these young people have displayed enormous courage and endurance. They are all young heroes and deserve special recognition."

In 2010 Children's Burns Trust supported the nominations of Kieran Shilston and Logan Adams - both of whom were invited back to participate in this year's Awards. Testimonials and photo's.
We are delighted that on her first ever trip to London Jasmine won the Good Buddy Award. Thank you Jasmine for everything you do to make life a bit more special for the Pinderfields Burns Club children.
