If you are a parent or carer of a burn injured child and need advice on how to access information and support, we can help. If you need any information or support please email your questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please remember to give us your contact details along with your question.
A burn injury is for life, the scars are physical as well as psychological and are a life sentence. Children can encounter problems at school and again, following referral from specialists, we have helped with funding for therapeutic support. We are always looking at how we can increase the direct support we give to families and our next project is to look at how we can put parents who would like to talk to others whose children have suffered similar injuries in touch with each other. This is a new initiative and is still in the planning stage, however, it is possible to register with www.makingcontact.org/
The Counselling Directory website is designed to provide a UK-wide counselling support network, enabling people to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service and the website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders as well as providing useful statistics.
If you have any specific questions that we may be able to help you with please contact us.
