Over the Wall

Many of your children will have attended the excellent Burns Camps provided by the various Burns Clubs throughout the year, and will be planning to do so again next year.  We are proud to support these clubs and camps in a variety of ways.   However, we recently learnt of an organisation that provides the opportunity for siblings to attend camps as well.

Over The Wall have been providing residential activity camps for several years.  They run a variety of programmes across the country – and in 2016 received a grading of “Outstanding” from Ofsted.

Sibling Camps are 4 night residential camps for children and teenagers aged 8-17 who have a brother or sister (of any age) who is currently receiving treatment or experiencing health challenges.  Here are details of the 2018 Sibling Camps:

  • Midlands Sibling Camp:  Monday 22nd  – Friday 26th October – Whitemoor Lakes, Lichfield, Staffordshire
  • South Siblings Camp – Monday 2nd April – Friday 6th April – Bryanston School, Dorset
  • Scotland Sibling Camp:  Monday 16th  – Friday 20st July – Strathallan School, Perth

Applications for the Sibling Camps have recently opened – anyone can apply and there is no charge.

The camps are however often oversubscribed and places are not guaranteed.

More information can be found on the Over the Wall website, where you can also complete a Camper Interest Form.
